Antisense Oligonucleotides: New Tools for Physiology

MI Phillips and R Gyurko

The recent application of antisense technology to whole animal physiology opens a new way of approaching physiological problems with the specificity of molecular biology. This article gives details of how to design and deliver oligonucleotides to inhibit specific proteins involved in physiological mechanisms.
