Y Oomura
Several recently identified metabolites have potent effects on food intake. They act in micromolar concentrations, and some suppress feeding, whereas others induce feeding. The neural networks involved in the integration of the signals from the chemosensitive neurons open new possibilities for understanding hunger and satiety.
