Unethical Alterations of Oxygen-Carrying Capacity in Endurance Athletes

J Stray-Gundersen

Some developments in the fields of physiology and medicine have had direct impact on athletic performance. These include the synthesis of anabolic steroids, the development of carbohydrate loading, the importance of adequate hydration, and the procedure of "blood doping."
