Endothelial Modulation of Arteriolar Tone

L Kuo, MJ Davis and WM Chilian

The microvascular endothelium modulates many vasoactive reactions of arterioles, which help maintain proper perfusion. Endothelium-dependent mechanisms also help coordinate the overall vascular response of the microvasculature during physiological stresses.
