Oscillations in Interacting Thalamic and Neocortical Neurons

Oscillations of brain electrical activity, constituting various rhythms of the electroencephalogram, emerge from synaptic activities in complex networks formed by interacting thalamic and neocortical neurons and are shaped by intrinsic properties of single cells.
