Hypoxia in the Uterus

Uterine contractions are so powerful during labor that they cause hypoxia. This article examines effects hypoxia has on the ability of the uterus to contract and its relevance to clinical cases of dystocia, i.e., weak contractions, which often lead to cesarean section.
