Supplemental Video

Supplemental video file in AVI and Quicktime format.

Caption: 3-dimensional reconstruction of the perfused living thick ascending limb (TAL)-macula densa segment. Isolated perfused thick ascending limb with attached glomerulus from rabbit was stained with membrane dye R18 from the luminal side, optically sectioned with two-photon fluorescence microscopy and 3-dimensional rendered with Voxx software (Indiana Center for Biological Microscopy) using linear weighted average projection. The front section of the tubule was optically removed to gain insight to the tubule interior.
